As for the bold, the coin-tossers and the “let’s see what happens” crowd, they take their chances — because we always keep 50% of our tables for bon vivants who wander in with the wind in their hair, a smile on their face and a proper appetite.

The choice is yours.

TERRACE NOT AVAILABLE TO BOOK: the weather and how busy we are mean we cannot guarantee you a table on the terrace. However, YOUR BOOKING GIVES YOU PRIORITY ACCESS if tables are available when you arrive. Our team will always do its very best to seat you outside, depending on remaining availability, the conditions on the day and the order in which bookings arrive.

Here, we do not do dainty, and we do not do froth that disappears before it even reaches the table.

WE COOK THE OLD-FASHIONED WAY: with time, common sense, produce that knows where it comes from, and recipes that have already fed a few generations of hungry souls.

Slow-cooked dishes, bistrot classics, two or three memories from our region, and just enough character to remind you that a proper French table is not just something to look at: IT IS SOMETHING TO RESPECT.

Take a seat, catch your breath, and take the time to eat well. It is still the best thing we ever invented for putting the world to rights.
